Traditionally, three-legged stools were task chairs made for working. Legs were carved round and plugged into solid slab seats - unornamented, they were worn and warmed by the grit of life.

The three legs (instead of four) made them stable for uneven ground such as in barn, shed and store. This seating series draws inspiration from those simple task stools, unornamented, built by hand using locally available woods, ready to work.
