Inspiration
Ice is a serious business for Fogo Islanders not to be taken lightly. The pack ice season when the Labrador Current pulls ice to shore almost enabling people to walk to Greenland can also break free dislodging traditional seal hunters from shore to their peril. Glacial ice from icebergs is harvested and brought home to use. The Ice Mallet is an fittingly impressive instrument for the honor of breaking water frozen millennia before.
