Inspiration

Imagined by Donna Wilson during her time on Fogo Island, We Sailed Away captures the expansiveness of the wild North Atlantic Ocean and the horizon, sometimes broken by the breaching of migrating whales. The unencumbered design evokes a sense of boundless exploration and wonder at the natural world.

Fabrication

All fabrics are hand-printed by our partner, Christopher Farr Cloth, in a print house on the outskirts of London. Using the most environmentally friendly pigment ink system available, CFC marries slow production methods and innovative painting techniques. The linen fabrics are sourced responsibly from suppliers that have been carbon neutral since 2014, and all fabrics are finished with a sanforising process that uses heated rollers to soften the cloth after printing, for which there are no chemicals involved.
