Who doesn’t want a puppy? Loyal, playful, delectably lopsided. And at your heels whenever you need them.
Nick Herder, a Newfoundland architect and designer who worked on Fogo Island Inn, was charged with designing a zero-waste table. The whimsical lines of these three-legged friends are cut and re-assembled from a single piece of wood. The offcut derived from cutting out one leg becomes the other. This simple, playful design is a perfect example of the Outport Aesthetic.
Also available in Twinflower and Tip Toe design, or the larger Dog Rose Puppy Bench.
Made to order using regionally sourced birch by our craftspeople at Fogo Island Workshops. Available in three sizes and a range of finishes including hand-buffed Danish Oil, which deepens the amber colour of the wood, and White Oil, which neutralizes the amber tone for a raw matte look. Coloured lacquer can be applied to the interior and exterior sides of the table in any desired combination.
